Is a kind of alcohol, non drinking type; but itt does NOT have disinfetant purpose (unlike IPA & Ethanol)

What are the main uses of Methanol?

Some common application for methanol (Meoh) is to add into our petrol/diesel to increase fuel efficiency, it is a common practice in Thailand. However, we DO NOT recommend customer to buy for such purpose. Usually they google online about the information by themselves and take their own risk.

Purposes of Methanol

For commercial use, it is common for some barber shop to add methanol into their shampoo to add the “freezing” feel. Actually methanol is present in a lot of big brand shaver products for the same purpose. Since it is a skin contact, we also do not advise customer to do so . Perhaps we can ask customer the purpose they buy the methanol for, sometimes the answer can be very interesting. We may learn together from there.
